Flatwoods Forest School

  • Florida Ag Museum 7900 Old Kings Road North Old Kings Road Palm Coast, FL, 32137 United States (map)

Flatwoods Forest School is coming to the Florida Agricultural Museum this fall!  Beginning in September, the school will be holding Nature Day Camps the third Sunday of each month from 10am-3pm.  Students ages 4-9 will enjoy a fun filled educational day in NATURE!

At Flatwoods Forest School we believe children thrive best in a natural environment with teachers that engage and excite. We facilitate education with values of preservation and mindful discovery, alongside families that recognize the importance of exploring, caring, and protecting Mother Earth. Because of these core beliefs, we utilize an outdoor environment which is filled with the unique splendor of Florida flatwood forests. Our curriculum facilitates a meaningful connection with the natural world that we believe is crucial to a child’s development.

Each day will include a guided exploration hike through one of the many trails at the Florida Ag Museum, a nature themed reading activity, nutritious snack (provided), unstructured playtime, lunch, and a lost skill workshop. Students will have many opportunities to create nature-based artwork to take home!

The cost of the program is $40 per student per camp. If you are interested in having your child participate please email flatwoodsforestschool@gmail.com or call 904-669-6477.
