U.S. Navy Band “Cruisers” – July 5, 2018:

As the U.S. Navy’s premier contemporary entertainment ensemble, the Cruisers feature eight of the Navy’s most dynamic performers. Formed in 1999 as a specialty unit of the United States Navy Band, the Cruisers are under the leadership of drummer Senior Chief Musician Leon Alexander. The group takes its name from the Navy’s versatile, flexible, multi-missioned ship – the Cruiser – and the band lives up to their namesake by having the capabilities of playing genres of music ranging from jazz & standards, rhythm & blues, classic rock, adult contemporary and pop, as well as original material. This elite group has engaged and excited audiences of all ages throughout the U.S. and abroad with world-class musicianship and high energy, fun-filled performances.

Having truly worldwide appeal, they traveled to Oslo in 2004 for the Norwegian Military Tattoo. In addition, they performed in Keflavik, Iceland, in October 1999 for the Naval Air Station’s Navy Birthday Ball. Closer to home, they are in constant demand by the most senior government and military officials. Smaller combinations of the group often perform at the Chief of Naval appearances on Navy Birthday Concerts, Holiday Concerts, National Tours, and Summer Concert Series performances are always a highlight.

Doobie Brothers/Santana Tribute Band “Classic Rock Revival” – July 6, 2018:

Santana meets The Doobie Brothers with one incredible band performing two tributes in concert!

Santana and the Doobie Brothers are two of the most iconic American Rock bands of all time. The Classic Rock Revival show brings their look, their sound and their massive hits with high energy and excitement…just like these bands did in their prime.

China Grove is a fantastic Doobie Brothers tribute band from the Tampa Bay area whose repertoire spans the many decades and styles of the legendary California group. From the jammin’ rock of “Long Train Runnin’” to the jazzy “Takin’ it to the Streets” to the Grammy Award-winning pop “What a Fool Believes,” this group blazes through a sizzling set of memory-jarring classic hits and album cuts with stunning accuracy and passion.

Led by vocalist/guitarist J. Todd Plant who fronted a band featuring Doobie Brothers alumni Chet McCracken, the late Cornelius Bumpus and the late Dave Shogren, he is doing hits of the Doobie Brothers all across America. Mr. Plant has also worked with members of Chicago, Steely Dan, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Firefall, Marshall Tucker Band, Tom Petty Band, Rick Derringer, and was the voice of Hulk Hogan’s fight song “American Made.”

The other half of this show is the Santana Tribute Band – also played by China Grove. The sights and sounds of the career of Carlos Santana will blow you away with the many hits from the 60’s until today. You’ll see a look-alike Carlos and hear everything from “Black Magic Woman” to “Smooth.”
